Spartan Protection Services is a protection company with a touch of the "Past". The current members of Spartan Protection Services bring an extensive background of security related experience to the company, including extensive Police experience, Executive Protection and Security background. 

The Spartan Protection Services Training Instructors have years of investigative and Police experience, as well as, years of experience in instructing in firearms, criminal & civil, insurance fraud and fire and explosion scene investigation. 

At Spartan we believe that high quality traditional training, experienced supervisors and continued regular in-service training and discipline is the key to developing our high-quality, successful, Security Officers to serve the needs of our clients.

Spartan Uniformed Officers 

Spartan Uniformed Protection provides a variety of protective services in Minnesota. Spartan has a full complement of professional, competent and dedicated officers who are meticulously selected and extensively trained. Many of our personnel have prior law enforcement and security experience. Their expertise ranges from basic security functions to crisis management and emergency response. 

Meticulous Selection 

An intensive and judicious selection and screening process allows Spartan to evaluate and select only the most qualified candidates. 

Our hiring procedures include pre-interview testing personal interviews, full background investigations, employment reference checks, and language skill assessment.

Extensive Training

All Spartan personnel must complete a rigorous training program and pass a comprehensive examination. The Spartan training process exceeds Minnesota state licensing requirements. Minnesota State Certified Instructors interact with each officer/candidate through lectures, role-playing, and scenario training and the Spartan curriculum covers a broad range of topics such as: basic protection and security operations, officer's legal authority, legal guidelines, Courtroom testimony, legal & appropriate use of force, public safety communications, report writing, public relations, CPR, and first aid. 

Supervision and Management

Spartan's talented team of experienced managers constantly monitors site operations from the field, regional offices, and corporate headquarters. Frequent contact with senior management and regular site inspections by trained area managers assure clients of the close operational supervision needed to maintain optimum performance.

Minimum Requirements 

  • 21Years of age 
  • High School Diploma (preferred, or G.E.D. Certificate conditionally accepted) 
  • Clear driving record 
  • Clear criminal history 
  • Valid Minnesota Drivers License 
  • Ability to obtain a Permit to Carry a Handgun 
  • Reliable personal transportation 
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs and pass our physical examination requirements 

Preferred Training & Experience: 

  • 2 or 4 Year Law Enforcement Degree 
  • Prior Security or Law Enforcement Experience 
  • Prior Military Police/Security/Combat Experience 
  • First Responder or EMT Training 

Training by Spartan Protection and ISI 

  • Firearms Training for Concealed Carry 
  • Use of Force with Practical & Legal Issues 
  • Pre-assignment Training for Private Detectives & Protective Agents.
